We realize it may be a challenge to watch all of these live due to scheduling. By arrangement, these Learning Streams will be available until the end of February. We hope you will join us live, so that maybe your question can be asked or answered, but we know your students will get a lot out of these Learning Streams and the materials each tribe is providing.

What To Expect

This series has been two months in the making! We are grateful to each Nation as we worked one-on-one and collectively for scheduling these live presentations. Some of the Nations have formal Education Departments. Others may just have one storyteller. Regardless of how fancy it is – with artifacts, head dresses, jewelry, language demonstrations, etc. – or how simple, we know that your student is in for a treat.

Below is a short example of something which may be included in the live presentation by Cherokee Nation. Sequoyah is perhaps the Cherokee most well known to us today. His statue is in the U.S. Capitol and the tall redwood trees in California are named in his honor. As the creator of the written Cherokee language, he advanced Cherokee people perhaps more than any other – at great cost to himself and his daughter, as this video shows.

Please help spread the word to your Facebook groups, support groups, friends, etc. about this Series.

Each of the Nations has said they are looking forward to taking questions so every effort will be made to get to as many questions in chat as possible. Thanks to the generosity of the Nations and by arrangement, these recorded webinar events will be available longer than usual – until the end of February.

Recommended Audience
This webinar event will probably be enjoyed most by students in grades 4-9, however, high-schoolers and adults are sure to enjoy it as well.
